Enjoy tours & demonstrations, explore AMOCA’s current exhibitions, and shop one-of-a-kind finds at our Open House & Holiday Market.

Open House

All of the museum galleries will be open to explore! Exhibitions on view include A Traveler’s Guide to Mettlach, Cj Jilek: Systematic Erosion, Making in Between: Queer Clay, and REVEAL: Recent Acquisitions.

We’re also offering free docent-led tours of current exhibitions, wheel-throwing demos in the studio, and more opportunities for fun this weekend! You can gain insights into the historical and cultural contexts of selected ceramic pieces when you join an informal, docent-led tour at 1 PM or 3 PM on Saturday or Sunday, and see how bowls are made when you catch a 15-minute wheel-throwing demonstration at noon or 2 PM. If you want to get your hands on some clay, you can visit our Decorating Station to learn to paint with underglaze on a premade holiday ornament on Saturday afternoon. And, on Saturday morning, join a staff-led tour of AMOCA’s recent renovation spaces where you can see our improvements and learn more about what’s coming next.
