Black FriGlaze! – A Family Workshop

Join AMOCA this Black Friday for a family-friendly glaze workshop, painting and decorating pottery on your choice of prepared bisqued bowls, cups, or plates. Participants will learn different glazing techniques for high-fired ceramics like dipping, waxing, and layering colors. Our instructors will show you how to get lovely colors and teach creative techniques for customizing your bowl, cup, or plate. We’ll then dip your piece in clear glaze and kiln fire so your personalized bowl, cup, or plate will be food and drink safe. Projects will be ready for pick up 1–2 weeks after the class.

AMOCA’s family workshops are for all ages and everyone is welcome! Both adults and children will be given supplies to participate in the art project

Your registration fee ($35 per participant, which includes 1 bisque piece) includes admission to the museum on the day of the event; AMOCA is open 11 AM -4 PM on Friday, November 29.

• Note: Price is per person making a project, so please add to your order as many as will participate in making their own project. Your $35 ticket includes 1 bisque piece.
• Limit two bisque pieces per person to decorate.
• One additional bisque piece (per participant) may be purchased ahead of time (choose the $50 ticket) or in person on the day of the workshop for $20, as supplies allow.
