Virtual Artist Talk with Colby Charpentier, 2021–2022 Artist in Residence

Saturday, July 23, 2022 • 11 AM –12 PM (PST) • Online

Join us for a virtual artist talk with Artist in Residence Colby Charpentier. In this presentation, the artist will discuss work created during his 2021-2022 residency in the AMOCA Studio. Charpentier is a process-oriented sculptor dedicated to the exploration of ceramic materials. His artistic process, grounded in a study of historical and contemporary materials production, deconstructs and reinterprets traditional vessel forms with visually arresting studies of texture, form, and color. His works are a tenuous balance of chaos and order, and a meditation on the tension between the organic and the ethereal.
