Family Day at the Museum X Self Help Graphics & Art

Fun for the whole family! Join us for this special Family Day collaboration with Self Help Graphics & Art from East Los Angeles. Teaching artist Moni Perez from Self Help Graphics will lead participants in a special cyanotype printmaking workshop to create images inspired by inspired by Ashwini Bhat’s exhibition IMPRINTED, Assembling California, currently on view at AMOCA.

Participants will create compositions using native California plants and plants commonly found in our neighborhoods.  Every family will be given a map to explore the museum galleries and extra adventures outside. Appropriate for ages 4-11; all family members welcome!

Espresso drinks for the adults will be available for purchase from our local mobile coffee cart, Catalyst Coffee.

Participation is free for our neighbors living in the City of Pomona with proof of residency. For all other families, admission is reduced from normal prices to $5 per family of four plus $2 per additional member. Prices include the entire Family Day experience – admission, gallery tours, and workshop materials.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for a fun and relaxed check-in process. Late admission not guaranteed. A mask is required for all individuals over the age of five.

Family Day is not for private groups (including Boy and Girl Scouts, or school clubs). If you would like to arrange a group visit, email info@amoca.org.
