2024 High School Ceramics Exhibition Call for Entry

Since 2014, AMOCA has hosted an annual juried exhibition showcasing the remarkable talents of high school students studying the ceramic arts. Since 2020, the exhibition has been held virtually and will continue online this coming year. All high school students in the U.S. are eligible to apply.
For this year’s digital exhibition, only images of the accepted works are required for submission. If your students are unfamiliar with photographing their work, we’ve produced a short tutorial video with helpful photography tips and tricks.
Application Opens: March 1, 2024
Entry Deadline: March 31, 2024
Accepted Artwork Notification: Friday, April 19, 2024
Virtual Exhibition Dates: May 4–August 31, 2024
Opening Reception and Award Ceremony: Saturday, May 4, 2024
Submission Requirements:
- Entrants must be currently enrolled in high school in the United States
- Applications are free
- Artists can submit up to different 3 artworks with up to 2 images per piece
- Teachers may submit on students’ behalf but must provide email addresses for the student entrant(s)
- Work submitted for consideration must be at least 60% ceramic. Works may be made using air dry clay, oven-baked clay, or claymation video
- All applications must be submitted through Submittable during the month of March, 2024
Eligibility: Entrants must be enrolled in high school.

Additional Information
- AMOCA reserves the right to reject works that it deems not suitable for a family audience, or are otherwise unacceptable.
- AMOCA makes no guarantees that submissions will be accepted.
- AMOCA retains the right to display and photographically reproduce work accepted for this exhibition for publicity, promotional, or educational purposes.
- Artists accepted into the exhibition may be asked to provide a 3-5 sentence statement about their artwork, or to participate in creating virtual content (including interviews or virtual tours) related to their artwork.
- If you are an art teacher submitting applications for your students, please submit a separate application for each student.
- If you are a High School Student you may submit your own application.
