Feminist Explorations in Contemporary Ceramics
Thursday, March 9, 2023 • 11:00 AM –12:00 PM • Online
Join us for a virtual discussion featuring artists from the third chapter of AMOCA’s current exhibition Breaking Ground: Women in California Clay.
Exhibition Manager Pam Aliaga and participating artists will explore the influence of feminism on contemporary ceramics. We will quickly touch upon the Western history that has led to where we are today in the arts, and take time to explore the ways in which women’s contributions have often been overlooked as well as the impact of feminist perspectives in contemporary ceramics. There will be an opportunity for Q & A after the discussion.
This event is complimentary with advance registration.
